Charming, Charming, Charming
I loved the cozy atmosphere in my Deluxe King Room, which was perfect for snuggling up after a day of exploring. The breakfast was a total game changer—freshly cooked to order with mouthwatering options, especially the full English! we had a great time at the black boy hotel. the staff were super friendly and felt like fam. loved the comfy king room and the atmosphere was just right for chillin out. breakfast was delish, proper full english, and the location was perfect for exploring oxford. really enjoyed staying in a proper english pub, it made our stay special.
only issues were that the vegetarian options could be better and the drinks service was a bit slow. they should really up their game in the dining area.

Great stay, awesome breakfast!
We spent two nights in a King Room and really liked it. The room felt more like a hotel than a B&B, which was cool. Super quiet, no noise from the bar. Breakfast was huge and tasty! Just be ready to cycle a bit to get into the busy center of Oxford. Only thing was the staff seemed overwhelmed at times.

great stay but some minor issues
The off-street parking was convenient for us. The breakfast featured outstanding fresh ingredients, particularly the eggs. Our host, Sarah, went above and beyond to make my birthday special.
The bus route to the city can feel crowded during peak times.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the cozy King Room. The location near Headington was perfect for our family outings, with easy access to bus routes into Oxford. Plus, the breakfast had so many tasty options that kept everyone happy, including mum.
My kids wished for a larger play area outside for some fun activities.

Target audience good for families
Let me tell you, the friendly staff were really on top of things. I remember arriving kinda early and they offered us coffee on the house while we waited for our room to be ready. And the breakfasts? Fantastic, fresh, just what you need to start the day right.
It wasn't exactly a bargain, but considering the service, it was still acceptable.
